On December 29, 2019, in Montevideo, Uruguay, a group of passionate electronic music enthusiasts brought an exciting idea to life: to create a new electronic music event series that would stand out in the local scene. While Montevideo already hosted other events, Fusion distinguished itself with its unique focus and the vital support of the female DJ showcase platform, "Not Dolls UY". The vision behind Fusion generated a wave of positivity that was impossible to ignore. Just a few days later, on January 8, 2020, Fusion celebrated its first collaborative event with Not Dolls UY, where several of the platform's DJs joined forces to inaugurate the series. Their goal was clear from the beginning: to promote and nurture the growth of the underground scene in Montevideo. Fusion was fortunate to have the unwavering support of Not Dolls UY, which allowed the project to gain independence and flourish. Since then, it has continuously organized thrilling events featuring both local and international DJs and producers.

Its early success was so resounding that Fusion quickly transcended its origins as just an event series. Driven by its core mission, Fusion has continuously strived to diversify and expand its reach, leading to the creation of an online radio station, engaging podcasts, and exclusive interviews with a wide array of DJs and producers. Today, Fusion continues to grow and evolve. Fueled by a deep dedication to the underground movement and an undeniable passion for electronic music, it has proven to be a fundamental pillar of Montevideo's vibrant music scene and beyond. Through each new event, interview, and creative project, Fusion persistently drives electronic culture forward in Uruguay.

In 2025, Fusion undergoes a monumental transformation. Evolving beyond its roots, Fusion introduces a new brand identity and expands its operations to become a full-fledged record label, now bridging two iconic electronic music capitals with headquarters in both Uruguay and Berlin.
