MATTIA SAVIOLO
How many years have you been in the music industry and who have been your main influences during this time?
I’ve been involved in the music industry for over 15 years now. In the early days, I was part of duo project called Macromism. Throughout my journey, I’ve been heavily influenced by artists such as Dubfire, Adam Beyer, and Enrico Sangiuliano. Their work has not only inspired me but also played a significant role in shaping my style and approach to DJing.
What have you drawn inspiration from to create your latest EPs in terms of the creative process? Do you dedicate a specific amount of time in your daily routine to production?
My latest EP, “NIRVANA,” released under Victor Ruiz’s esteemed label VOLTA, finds its genesis in the enigmatic interplay between space and time. Delving into the concept of reality’s fracture, it represents a sonic odyssey into uncharted territories, seamlessly melding tranquility with intrigue. Each composition within the EP is a snapshot of fleeting moments, meticulously crafted to evoke both beauty and mystique. In my daily routine, I devote a solid six hours to my music projects, alongside providing essential engineering services for other artists. It’s a balanced mix of creative exploration and technical finesse, fueling my passion to evolve and refine my sound with each passing day
What do you enjoy the most about your artistic career that makes you choose it every day?
What I enjoy the most about my artistic career is the ability to connect and communicate with people through my music. There’s something incredibly special about being able to gift them with emotions and experiences, to make them feel something profound. For me, it’s all about the vibes, the rhythms and the emotions that music evokes. It’s about creating moments that resonate with people long after the music stops, and that’s what motivates me to choose this path every single day
You’ve had the pleasure of working with artists like Enrico Sangiuliano, Pleasurekraft, Frankyeffe, garnering support from major labels and artists. Do you have a particular approach in mind to continue growing in the coming years?
My primary focus for the coming years is personal growth as an artist and evolving my sound even further. I aim to delve deeper into experimentation, pushing boundaries, and exploring new territories. This involves continuous learning, refining my skills, and staying open to new influences and experiences. By nurturing my creativity and honing my craft, I believe I can not only expand my artistic horizons but also connect with audiences on a deeper level, ultimately solidifying my presence and impact in the industry.
With the constant evolution of electronic music, how do you plan to adapt your sound to continue innovating?
My goal is to elevate my sound to the next level while staying true to my originality without being overly influenced by passing trends. It’s about deepening my artistic identity and honing my unique voice, while still staying connected to the pulse of the electronic music scene. By staying authentic to myself and my creative vision, I believe I can innovate in a way that resonates deeply with both myself and my audience.
If you’d like to add anything else, what would it be?
Additionally, I’m thrilled to share that I have a wealth of unreleased music spanning across various styles. From electronic beats and ambient soundscapes to post-rock music, each piece reflects a different facet of my artistic journey. My dream is to one day share this diverse collection with the world, offering listeners a glimpse into the depth and breadth of my musical expression. It’s a labor of love that I’m incredibly excited about, and I can’t wait for the day when I can finally unveil it all.
